Sector calibration notes — India AI-Native Index, Edition One
Each sector received a calibration note ratified before the first company in that sector was scored. The notes translate the ANS-100/P anchors into the sector's own evidence forms, and exclude categories that would award unearned credit. Anchors written after the scores they govern are worthless; these were written before.

A note on the ratification record
The ratification of each sector ruling set was logged in the header of the next sector's note, which is how the chain was kept at the time. That chain is complete for the BFSI, consumer-internet, healthcare and retail sets, each logged with its date. For the manufacturing and telecom sets the ratification is recorded in the ruling logs but the date is not separately stated; both were ratified on 30 August 2026 with the others, before their sectors were scored. This is stated here rather than smoothed over.

Sector syntheses — the cross-company analysis written after scoring — are working documents and are not part of the replication material. The rulings above are what governed the scores; the syntheses are commentary on them.
